Completed Sampler Afghan

After finishing all 24 panels, I double-crocheted around them in the bone-colored yarn. Since I used so many different stitches, the sizes didn’t always match. I added rows and even half-rows where needed.

Then I connected the squares using a slipstitch along the back. And…

My first blanket!!

From the other end:

It’s about 6 x 4 feet, the perfect size for curling up on the couch, and it’s *really* warm. I love how soft the Caron yarn turned out to be. I still can’t believe I’ve made a whole blanket from just, you know, yarn.
