Thanks for dropping by! I’m Holly, the former southern pianist type person who now works and plays in the mountains of Colorado.

This website exists so my family and friends can keep track of me. If you’re curious what’s going on in my life Right Now, visit my personal journal, which I update regularly.

I grew up in an itsy town in South Carolina, but I never felt I belonged there. After getting my M.A. in Journalism from the University of Georgia, I packed everything I owned into my grumbly Ford Taurus and headed west to start a new life. I lucked upon the world’s most wonderful husband, Larry.

I’m more creative than I have time to be; I like to draw and I take a lot of pictures, which appear on my Flickr page and, with commentary, under my personal journal’s photo tag. I also still play the piano and sometimes give online recitals for fun.

If you’re curious, I keep a log of where I’ve traveled the past few years. I also read a lot, and I love discussing books and movies. I talk about them often under my journal’s Reading List tag. Feel free to drop by and tell me what you thought of whatever book you’ve just finished. I write novels, too, and it’s the creative pursuit I enjoy the most. I write and report progress often. Too often. Okay, I admit I never shut up about whatever book I’m working on.

I’d love to hear any questions you have or your feedback on this site. If you need to contact me, you can leave a comment in my guestbook. Thanks for visiting!
